About this event
Speaker 1: Former Marine, Michael Ergo, found triathlon as a way to deal with PTSD from 2 tours in which he saw a lot of urban combat in Iraq. He runs full and half IMs carrying the American Flag in honor of a specific Gold Star Family. I think you will find his story to be inspiring and amazing. Here is a bit of his story: https://youtu.be/fBCl-lvFgk0
Speaker 2: Katheryn Curi is an American racing cyclist and local legend who rode professionally for the Webcor Builders Women's Professional Cycling Team. She won the United States National Road Race Championships in Park City, Utah in June 2005. In February 2008 she won the Geelong World Cup thereby claiming the UCI World Cup leader's jersey.
Katheryn will talk about her racing background and will share personal experience how she stays motivated through injury and setbacks.
Curi received a B.A. in psychology from Mount Holyoke College in 1996 and began competing as a professional cyclist in 1999.
