LaRivière, of Bicycle Accident Investigation, provides expert testimony and professional consultation in regard to the design, construction, repairing of bicycles, bicycle safety and operation of bicycles, and the cause of bicycle failure. During this talk Alex will focus on quick releases and demonstrate how they are expected to perform. He will demonstrate various failure modes, how quick releases become under tightened and issues with over tightening using a calibrated force gauge to measure the clamping force.
